Wing Commander Frank Mouse,

Red Leader

Dear Squadron Pilots,

Welcome back to Squadron Dispatches! This week brings exciting news: the complete Angels One Six rulebook is now live on our website for you to explore. Plus, we've got some fantastic video interviews with our friends at On Tabletop and Fighter Tales.

New to the Squadron?

You can read all the old Squadron Dispatches on the blog: AngelsOneSix.com/blog.

It's the moment many of you have been waiting for—the complete Angels One Six: Battle of Britain rulebook is now available for download at AngelsOneSix.com/downloads.

This isn't just a preview or summary. It's the full rulebook with everything you need to understand how Angels One Six brings authentic aerial combat to your tabletop:

  • Complete turn sequence with step-by-step illustrations

  • All maneuvers explained from basic turns to complex Split-S and Immelmann maneuvers

  • Detailed shooting mechanics

  • Shot Down table showing what really happened to downed pilots

  • Multiple missions for one player aside from dogfights and multi-player furballs

You'll see exactly how the telescopic flight stands work, how the cockpit displays guide gameplay, and why we say you can learn the basics in a single turn.

Whether you're curious about specific mechanics or want to understand the complete game before backing the game on Kickstarter later this year, everything's there waiting for you.

Video Interviews

If you’d like a bit more background on Angels One Six, here are a couple of interviews I’ve done. You can also find them at angelsonesix.com/media.

The first is with Gerry over at On Tabletop. With the time difference between Ireland and New Zealand, it was an early start. You might notice when the sun starts coming up!

The second is with Falcon’s Fighter Tales, a great little podcast on aerial combat and aerial wargaming.

What's Coming Next

I’m off the Palmerston North for Panzerschreck, a doubles Team Yankee tournament tomorrow, so this will be a short dispatch. I’ll be demonstrating the game there if anyone wants to come and try it out.

Last time, I promised I’d talk about getting shot down and campaigns. That’s still the plan for Squadron Dispatch #6, but I thought you might enjoy seeing the rules more than me going on about how awesome they are!

We Want to Hear From You

Have you downloaded the rulebook? Have you tried putting together a game with your friends? What questions came up?

Did you find the videos interesting? What was most informative and what did I not say that you are dying to hear?

Hit reply or join the discussion at Angels One Six Gamers or my new Discord channel at discord.gg/6WFTv9m3HD. Your feedback helps us create better content and a better game.

Until next week, keep your eyes on the prize and check your six!

Red Leader, Out.
